Christmas Tree Hunting

We took a break from painting Saturday to go get a Christmas tree. We found a really nice one. Kyler and Kaylee thought it was fun. Kenyon fell asleep on the way up and slept through the whole thing, which was nice for us. Here is a picture of us with the tree, even though you can't see the tree very well.

New House Update

I thought I would update everyone on how the new house is coming. We spent all weekend (from Tuesday to Saturday, I say weekend becuase it was long because of Thanksgiving and every day felt like Saturday) painting. We got the ceiling and walls DONE!! We still have to paint the trim and the closets, but that doesn't feel like much after what we've already done. I don't have any pictures, I was too busy painting. I will try to remember to take some and post them. My dad is doing the finish electrical for us and he has the kitchen, front room and hall done except for lights. It is really starting to look like a house. We expect to be in anywhere from 2 to 3 weeks, which means before Christmas!!

Here are some pictures of Kyler helping Russell Blow the insulation into the attic. He is smiling under his mask, even though it doesn't look like it. He has been such a good helper with the house.

Being Tagged

The rules of the game should be posted at the beginning of the post. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged and asking them to read your blog.

1. I am the mother of three wonderful children. Kyler is 6 and loves school and helping dad. Kaylee is 3 and loves to ride the bus and is always talking. Kenyon is 17 months and is just starting to show his unique personality. I love being a mother, but I'm sure part of the reason I love it so much is because Russell is such a wonderful father.

2. Which leads me to number two, but it probably should have been number one. I am married to the most wonderful man in the world. He is my best friend and has been for over 14 years, he supports me in everything I do, he helps with the kids and loves it, he honors his Priesthood, he is a hard worker and the best thing of all is that he loves me for who I am and doesn't try to change me.

3. We are getting really close to being done with our house. The sheetrock is almost ready to start being mudded. We are pretty sure we will be in before Christmas and we can't wait for it to be done and to have more than one bathroom, except that means I have to clean more than one bathroom, so I hope it is as nice as it sounds.

4. I don't really like to cook. Sometimes I like to bake things, especially if it has chocolate in it, but I would be happy if I never had to fix another dinner again. Since I don't like to cook that much, I usually don't, especially lately since we've been so busy with the house. It seems like we live on cold cereal, oatmeal, sandwiches and toast, which is fine with me, at least until we are in the house.

5. I love math. My dream is to retake the Calculus and Differential Equations series at Snow College now that I know how and where to apply it. I think my favorite kind of math problem to do is Trigonometric Proofs and I would often do more than what the teacher assigned. I can't wait for our kids to start taking math classes so I can do math homework again.

6. It was harder that I thought it would be to come up with 6 things to write about myself.

I tagged Jenny Fife, Jenny Welch, Kristy, Kara, Mariah, and Moriya.

Cowboy Boots

Kyler thought is was neat when he noticed that Grandpa Slim wears cowboy boots just like his, except for a lot bigger.

Ladder Boy

Kenyon loves to climb the ladders while he is at the building lot. This is the highest he has gotten, but he had to ask for help to get back down by saying "stuck".

Kaylee "Reading" to Mickey

The other day, Kaylee decided that she wanted to read a story to Mickey. The book that she chose, just happened to be about Mickey. She had fun telling Mickey all about the pictures in the book.

Kaylee Loves Rylie

Kendall and Sheri adopted a beautiful baby girl that was born on October 22, 2007. Kaylee loves to hold "Baby Rylie". She is convinced that she wants her own baby sister, since Braxton doesn't want to share (and I don't blame him, Rylie is too cute to share).

Halloween 2007

Wendy, Kenyon, Kaylee, and Kyler ready to go trick or treating.

Kyler was a very handsome cowboy.

He thought that being in the Manti Elementary Parade was pretty fun.

Kaylee was Mickey Mouse.

She wasn't convinced that she wanted to wear her costume to school though. Once she saw that everyone was dressed up she was excited to be Mickey Mouse at school. The next morning, as she was carrying around her candy, she said "I doesn't want to be Mickey Mouse today." She had fun but was ready to be Kaylee again.

Kenyon was supposed to be a frog, but he wouldn't wear the costume. He loved my hat, so Kyler said he could wear his hat and cape and be my assistant. What a smart and thoughtful big brother. He wouldn't hold still long enough to get a non blurry picture, but this one isn't too bad.

Fun With Blocks

Kyler and Kaylee are pretty proud of the Temple they made out of blocks. I thought it was pretty neat too.

Computer Boy

Kenyon loves to play on the computer. He actually looks like he knows what he is doing.
