Evelyn Eating Food

We gave Evelyn her first taste of Peas today. She really enjoyed sitting in the high chair having Kaylee and Kenyon swoon over her.

She wasn't too sure about the eating thing though. I got a lot of funny facial expressions out of her. Below are a few that I was able to get pictures of...

This one is my favorite!

She did ok, but we had to feed her a bottle afterwards because she was still hungry. I'm sure she will get better at it and enjoy it more every day.

Kenyon & Evelyn

Kenyon has decided that he likes to hold Evelyn. The other day at church, Russell had Evelyn when he went to pick up Kenyon from nursery. Kenyon wanted to be carried, so Russell told him to hold the baby and Russell picked up both of them. We have Sacrament Meeting last, so as Russell was walking down the hall, holding Kenyon who was holding Evelyn, he had several people try to help him by taking Evelyn. Well Kenyon would not let go and would scream every time someone tried. It was quite the site. I wish I had some pictures, but I don't take my phone to church, so we don't have any. We were at least 15 minutes into Sacrament Meeting before Kenyon would let me take Evelyn away.
Here are some pictures of him holding her at home. He is also feeding her.

Some more news on Kenyon. He is pretty much potty trained! Yeah!! The first day we put underwear on him was a battle. It took me a good 10 minutes to get them on him and then he screamed for another 20. Well the first couple of days he had several accidents and didn't even care about them. Sunday, we decided he better wear a pull-up to church because he hadn't gone a full day without an accident. Well it took Russell about 15 minutes to get the pull-up on him, he wanted underwear! We didn't take him for a potty break at church because we were afraid of another fit, so he did need the pull-up. Anyway, since then he has done really well. He has gone Wednesday, Thursday, and so far today with out any problems. I guess he is making up for how difficult the others were to potty train. I just hope he doesn't regress.

Happy New Year!

We want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!

Christmas 2008

We spent Christmas Eve with my family. We had dinner and then Dalliam read us The Christmas Story. After the story we opened gifts. We were happy that Grandma Henningson was able to be there with us.
Kyler and Kenyon were the first ones up on Christmas morning, which was at about 9:00 am. Kaylee wasn't too happy with me when I woke her up, but she soon forgave me. Evelyn slept through everyone opening their presents and Russell fed her while the kids played with their new toys.

Kyler got a Magnetics kit from Grandma Olsen and some Legos from Santa. He has been busy for days building things.

Kaylee got ballet slippers, a tutu, and a Ballet Barbie from us and a crown from Kyler. She has been dancing for days, and does not like it that she has to take the crown off to go to bed. She also got Princess Crayons from her friend Kalli and has loved coloring in her Barbie Princess coloring book.

Kenyon got a big Magnetics set from Grandma Olsen. He has enjoyed building things like Kyler.

He also got a Handy Manny doll from Santa, which he carries everywhere with him.

Kenyon got so wore out by the end of the day, that he fell asleep on the stairs. What a crazy kid we have!

Kyler's Finished Room (almost anyway)

Here are the latest pictures of Kyler's room. The carpet was laid on Tuesday, December 23 and his bed was moved in on Christmas Eve. Kyler and Kenyon have adjusted really well to sleeping downstairs. We were a little concerned that they would be scared, but so far there hasn't been any issues. Kaylee has also done really well with sharing her room with Evelyn. Everyone has been getting between 12-16 hours of sleep a night, so no complaints from me. (Evelyn is the one sleeping the 16 hours!) We still need to do some touch up paint and get his closet shelf in, but other than that it is done! Russell did a really good job!
