The Kids

Kaylee Playing Dress-Up

Kaylee has discovered how much fun it is to dress-up. She doesn't have very many options though. I guess it is time to get her some more dress-up clothes.

Evelyn Has Found the Kitchen!

Last week, Evelyn found out that she can "crawl" into the kitchen anytime she wants to! She loves to go in there and just look around. This morning when she was in there, the sun was shining through the windows and she was playing with her shadow. It was fun to watch her. We haven't figured out what we are going to do to block off the top of the stairs yet, so we use a chair. Since we have the older kids going up and down the stairs all day long, we need to have something that they can open and that looks OK too. Russell is stumped for now, but I'm sure he will come up with something better than a chair!

Evelyn, Kaylee & Kenyon

Kaylee & Kenyon found these "plugs" the other day. They figured that since Evelyn obviously didn't need them (see above pictures) they must be for them, after all they were green and pink! After they were done playing with them, we made sure to dispose of them, so we don't have anymore confusion.

Kenyon & Thomas

Cousin Thomas came and visited a few weeks ago. He is 2 months younger than Kenyon, and they had a lot of fun playing together, most of the time anyway. I was able to get this picture of them at Grandma Olsen's house. They were just laying there talking to each other. It was way cute! Our kids are lucky to have the great cousins they have!

Evelyn's Check-Up

We just got back from Evelyn's 6 month check-up. She is still tiny. She did grow a lot the past two months but not the way the doctor would like her to. She went from 24 inches to 27.5 inches, which means she went from the 24% to the 91%, so she is long for her age. She went from 11.64 pounds to 13.14 pounds, so from the 5% to the 2%. For her height they want her to weigh 18.74 pounds! She is healthy and doing well, so we aren't too worried about the weight thing. Plus all of our kids, even Kenyon, have been way under weight. I will post more, and some pictures later.

I LOST!!!!!

Well, I finally lost the battle! Those of you that know me, know that I am not a fan of pink. Well Kaylee loves pink!! I have slowly given in and let her wear more and more of it. Well, it only took 4 years, 6 months, 2 weeks and 2 days for me to give in and let her wear pink pants! Grandma Henningson found this "cute" outfit for her yesterday and she just couldn't wait to wear it. At least the pants are a dark pink, which isn't as bad as the pale pink, and at least they aren't pink denim!

Kenyon Dressed Himself!

Kenyon insisted on getting dressed all by himself this morning. He has been trying for a while, but today is the first time he did it all without any help. From the looks of things he could have used some help, but in all I think he did a pretty good job.
Here he is showing off his socks. Yes, that one is inside-out and upside-down, but they are on!

Here is a view from the back, or what should be the front of his shirt! At least his underwear is on the right way!

Kyler's Turn

When Kyler saw me doing the other posts he was disappointed that there weren't any pictures of him with Evelyn, so now there is. We love you Kyler!

Rockets with the Henningson's

We went down West yesterday, February 28th, to set off rockets with the Henningson's and Kendall's Scouts. Here is a picture of J's rocket and J watching it go.

The wind made it a little chilly, but Evelyn didn't mind.
Kaylee and Kenyon spent a lot of the time in Grandpa's truck with Grandma. It was easier on us when they were in there, because when they were out they were running all over the place.

Kyler and Russell. (The shovel is for digging rockets out of the ground when/if the parachute doesn't work and they nose dive into the mud, which one did.)

We were able to get the kids all in one place for a family picture. Thanks to Kendall and Grandpa Henningson for such a fun afternoon!

Draper Temple Open House

We were able to go up to the Draper Temple Open House on Tuesday, February 24th. We took Kyler out of school after lunch, dropped Evelyn off at Grandma Slim's and were on our way. The kids loved it. They thought it was pretty neat that they could go inside the temple. We were also happy that my mom was able to go with us. We are so grateful that she is doing so much better and can do fun things with us again, that is when dad lets her leave the county. We can't wait until we can go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House this summer.

Kenyon and his Frog Hat

Kenyon found this frog hat, that my sister, Jenny, gave to us when Kaylee was a baby. Since he loves lime green and hats, he likes to wear it, even though he wears it sideways (I've fixed it many times and he turns it back).

Kaylee, Kenyon, & Evelyn

Kaylee & Evelyn

Kaylee loves her baby sister. Whenever I take pictures of Evelyn, Kaylee has to join in. She also keeps her company a lot of the time. I almost feel sorry for Evelyn sometimes because of all the attention she gets from Kaylee. Hopefully they will always be good friends.
