Sleepy Kenyon

This is what happens when you wake your 4 year-old up at 6:30am to go clean the Temple grounds after Pageant. He had been doing this for at least a minute before I started filming.

Evelyn Riding Her "Bike"

Evelyn rode her "bike" home from Grandma Slim's house yesterday.

Here she is shaking her finger "no, no, no" because she did not want to get in the stroller.

All that hard work made her thirsty.

It looks like she is trying to pet the cat, but she is shaking her finger "no, no, no" at it too.

"Oh no, this cat won't leave me alone!"

Shaking her finger "no, no, no" again.

Checking to make sure the cat isn't following her.

After more than a block and a run in with a cat, she was ready to get in the stroller, but was saying "no, no, no" to having her picture taken.

When she got home she insisted on going to her bed and taking a nap, she was all worn out!

Kyler at Cub Scout Day Camp 2010

Kyler and I went to Cub Scout Day Camp on Thursday June 10, 2010.  The weather was perfect (last year it rained all day) and we had a lot of fun.

Playing Birthday games for Scout's 100th Birthday

Singing and Playing "Happy Birthday"

Decorating his hat while wearing the Birthday Balloon Hat

The Obstacle Course

Rock Climbing

BB Gun Shooting (He did hit the target at least once!)

Archery

The Water Slide

Tracking and Animal Footprints

Rope Making

As you can tell, Kyler had a lot of fun and learned a lot.

Kenyon Turns FOUR!

We decided to take the kids to McDonalds for Kenyon's Birthday on Wednesday evening.  The kids had a lot of fun playing, especially since we were the only ones there most of the time.

Kyler running away from the picture.

Kaylee was so excited that she could read the rules...

...that she made Kenyon come and listen to her read them!

Kenyon showing us how old he is turning - FOUR!!

On Kenyon's actually birthday Kyler and I were at Cub Scout Day Camp all day (pictures will be posted soon), but the party continued without us.  Grandma and Grandpa Slim took Kenyon and the family to lunch at Fred's.  It is so nice to have family so close!  Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Kenyon playing with his Happy Birthday sign.

We were mean and made Kenyon wait until Kyler and I got home to let him open his present, but at least we hid it so he didn't have to look at it all day.  We got him a "Buzz Buzz Lightyear" and he has had a lot of fun playing with it, especially last night when they showed Toy Story 1 and 2 on Disney Channel.

When we got home from Day Camp, I was feeling guilty that we didn't have a cake for Kenyon (we are having a family party on Sunday for Kenyon and his two cousins that all had birthdays this week.)  We had a mix in the cupboard, I made Russell go to the store for frosting and made him a very simple cake.  He loved it and was so excited.  I am glad I made it for him.

While we were having cake and ice cream, Kenyon's Sunbeam teacher - Sister Masco - and Grandma Olsen came over with gifts for him.  Kenyon had a wonderful day and can't wait until Sunday to get more cake and gifts!!

Picnic & Jeep Ride

On Saturday, we went up to (Chocolate) Milky Falls to visit Kendall & Sheri and Charlotte & Bryan who were camping there.  The kids had a lot of fun running around and playing with their cousins.

After visiting for a while, we went for a Jeep ride.  Kaylee, Kenyon, Rylie and Sheri rode in Kendall's Jeep; Kyler, Jay, Braxton, Evelyn and I rode in Dale Bryan's Jeep; Russell, Grandma, Coke and Snoodles (Grandpa's dogs) rode in Grandpa Henningson's Jeep; and Charlotte and Tyson rode in their truck with Bryan.

Kendall and DB checking out one of the many mud puddles we went through.  Yes we went through that big one just fine.

We weren't so lucky with this one.  Kendall had to pull us out.  Kyler was not happy about the mosquitoes or the mud.  If you look close you can see him giving DB a dirty look.

Evelyn and I got the worst of the mud, but we didn't mind, we thought it was lots of fun.  Thanks everyone for the great Jeep ride even though it might be a while before we can get Kyler to go on another one.

If you look closely you can see the mud in Evelyn's hair.

After the ride we played around some more, had dinner (Thanks Kendall and Sheri) and otter pops and then came home.

Thanks everyone for a fun Saturday afternoon, hopefully next time we can camp too!
