Evelyn is Eight Months Old!

I can't believe that she is Eight Months already! They grow up way too fast! She is starting to show so much personality now and that is so much fun. She is crawling all over the place and loves to explore. She is also starting to pull herself to standing and thinks she is so cool when she does. The older kids love to play with her and are so good with her. Below are some pictures of them holding her. My favorite is the one with Kenyon.

I tried to get a picture of all four of them, but they would not all cooperate at the same time, so here is one of the big brothers and sister.

Spring Break

For Spring Break this year we went to Zion's with the Henningson's. My mom rented a really nice cabin for us to all stay in. The following pictures are by Kyler of family at the cabin....

Elizabeth, (Jenny's family came all the way from Wisconsin)

Jenny and Josh

"Little" Bryan

Rylie, Charlotte, Sheri, and "Big" Bryan

Russell and Evelyn

Kyler, Rebekah, Elizabeth, Alan, Joshua, Braxton, Rylie, "Big" Bryan, Charlotte, Kaylee, and Kenyon. (This picture was taken from Sheri's blog.)

Family relaxing in the hot tub that was on the deck. (Also from Sheri's blog)

J, Kyler, Kenyon, Elizabeth, Alan and Kaylee ready for bed.

The next day we went to Zion's Park.

Kaylee, Dale Bryan, Dalliam and J.

Getting lunch before the "big" hike. Dale Bryan, Dale, Kay, Kenyon, "Big" Bryan, Charlotte, Wendy, Jenny, Elizabeth, Braxton, Kaylee, Alan, Kyler and J. Not pictured are "Little" Bryan, Dalliam, Kendall, Sheri, Rylie, Randy, Josh, Rebekah, Russell and Evelyn. The entire Henningson family was there except for Lilliam, Dale Bryan's wife. She had an unexpected trip to Vegas to visit her mother who was in the hospital. We missed Lilliam and are glad that her mom is doing better. (Also from Sheri's blog)

Before starting the hike we ran into Ben and Tuesdee Barclay and their family. We had a nice visit with them while the kids ran around and played. These are pictures of two of his girls that Kyler took.

Russell Olsen family, Jenny Fife, and Ben Barclay family. (Sorry about the size of this picture, I got it from another page and I don't know how to get it bigger without ruining it.)

We decided to hike to the Emerald Pools, a somewhat easy hike for the younger kids to do.

Wendy, Evelyn and Kaylee taking a break.

Kenyon walked all but the last couple of blocks, which were down hill. Kyler was way ahead of us with J, Dale Bryan, and Alan so we didn't see him the entire hike. The picture of the waterfall below was taken by Kyler.

Kenyon was so tired after the hike that he fell asleep on the Shuttle back to the truck! (He still has not completely recovered from the vacation. He slept most of the way home Sunday and went to bed at 9 pm. On Monday Russell woke him up at 1:45 pm, so he could go get Kyler from school, and he still went to bed at 9 pm. Tuesday Russell had to wake him up at 1:45 pm and he went to bed at 9 pm that night. Today Russell woke him up at 2 pm.)

Saturday, we went to St. George to visit with Russell's dad and step-mom. We had a fun dinner with family while there.

We also went pool hopping in the neighbor's pool, with permission of course.

Sunday we stopped by the temple on the way home.

It was a really fun vacation! Thanks to the family that went with us and that let us stay with them!

The Kids

Kaylee Playing Dress-Up

Kaylee has discovered how much fun it is to dress-up. She doesn't have very many options though. I guess it is time to get her some more dress-up clothes.

Evelyn Has Found the Kitchen!

Last week, Evelyn found out that she can "crawl" into the kitchen anytime she wants to! She loves to go in there and just look around. This morning when she was in there, the sun was shining through the windows and she was playing with her shadow. It was fun to watch her. We haven't figured out what we are going to do to block off the top of the stairs yet, so we use a chair. Since we have the older kids going up and down the stairs all day long, we need to have something that they can open and that looks OK too. Russell is stumped for now, but I'm sure he will come up with something better than a chair!

Evelyn, Kaylee & Kenyon

Kaylee & Kenyon found these "plugs" the other day. They figured that since Evelyn obviously didn't need them (see above pictures) they must be for them, after all they were green and pink! After they were done playing with them, we made sure to dispose of them, so we don't have anymore confusion.
